Health for Friends believes healthy communities begin with healthy individuals. Thus the mission of Health for Friends (HFF) is to provide patient-centered health care to the uninsured for better lives and better communities.
HFF has been providing free or low-cost health care to the medically needy in Norman since 1985. Over the last 26 years, HFF has expanded from a grassroots organization housed in a former motorcycle garage to a modern, comprehensive healthcare center providing nearly 26,000 appointments between its medical clinic, dental clinic, and pharmacy.
In 2010 HFF saw more than 2000 Norman residents and provided:
HFF's healthcare providers are licensed, credentialed medical doctors and physician assistants that are supported by a highly skilled staff of nurses, assistants and an onsite pharmacist and pharmacy techs. Our team of health professionals exhausts all resources to help our patients and are committed to serving those who need us most.
Heath for Friends is the only healthcare resource in this community for those with no other resources. HFF relies on community funders and individuals to support its unique programs as it provides a medical home for its community's uninsured.
